Jordan grew up in Burlington, NC, and moved to Wilmington to attend UNCW with a focus in Entrepreneurship and Business Development at the Cameron School of Business. Since graduating in 2008, Jordan has worked in Sales Management and Director of Sales roles focusing on business and new product development. With a passion for woodworking and extensive sales and business development experience, Coastal Building Supply was an ideal fit for Jordan to continue his career. When not working, Jordan enjoys time with his wife Bailey, son Weller and friends and family. If you are ever unable to reach Jordan there is a good chance he is offshore fishing at the Same Ol hole.

Zack grew up in Burlington, NC, and moved to Raleigh to attend NC State University. After graduating in 2006, he relocated to Wilmington working in Project Management roles which later lead to his growing involvement in the front-end aspects of project startup. Zack has a history in the commercial construction realm, managing designers, budgets, and timelines with a client-centric focus. When not working Zack enjoys spending time with his wife Grace, son Odin and their two dogs.

Originally from New Jersey, Joe moved to North Carolina in 2003 and has built a successful career in sales and marketing. With over 10 years in executive leadership experience across multiple industries, Joe brings a strong background in leadership, business growth, and building customer relationships. Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as pursuing a number of different hobbies that cater to his artistic side.

Originally from Burlington, NC, John brings a diverse background in leadership and operations management to his role at the company. Prior to joining the team, he worked within the craft brewing industry, overseeing production, logistics, and day-to-day business operations. Most recently, John spent several years in Colorado as a commercial helicopter pilot and flight instructor, developing a strong focus on safety, communication, and operational efficiency. When he’s not working, you’ll most likely find him catching waves or swinging ’em on the golf course.

Thomas, originally from Holly Springs, NC, made Wilmington his home in 2009 to pursue his education at UNCW, where he played Division 1 golf throughout his four years of study. Transitioning to a professional career, Thomas competed under the PGA Tour umbrella for a decade before joining the Coastal Building Supply team in early 2024. Outside of his career achievements, Thomas enjoys family life with his wife and their daughter, alongside the companionship of their beloved Golden Retriever. His journey reflects a dedication to both personal and professional excellence, blending a passion for golf with a commitment to his new role within the company.

Keith grew up in Hampstead, NC, and moved to Wallace several years ago. As a licensed General Contractor, he brings a wealth of hands-on experience and industry knowledge to our team. His background in construction and project management makes him a trusted resource for both coworkers and customers alike. When he’s not on the job, Keith enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and golfing. Family is especially important to him—he and his wife are proud parents of two kids.

Josh brings years of hands-on experience in the building industry, combining a strong work ethic with a passion for quality craftsmanship and customer service. Born in South Africa, Josh spent his childhood between South Africa and the Northeastern United States, giving him a unique perspective and appreciation for different cultures and building practices. He made North Carolina home in 2013, where he lives with his wife and their two children. Outside of work, Josh enjoys mountain biking, building custom furniture, and hunting—hobbies that reflect his love for the outdoors and his talent for creating things that are built to last.

Darian was born in Morehead City, North Carolina, and grew up in Lake Waccamaw. Before joining Coastal Building Supply, she spent nine years as a Project Manager for a custom home builder, where she developed extensive experience coordinating projects and delivering exceptional customer service. Darian brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for helping customers bring their projects to life. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with her husband, Shaun, and their two children, Stella and Declan.

Hillary Byrd is the Sales Administrator at Coastal Building Supply, where she supports the sales team with organization, coordination, and customer service. Originally from Harnett County, NC, she recently relocated to Wilmington after spending a few years in Maryland. Outside of work, Hillary enjoys traveling, antiquing, woodworking, and spending time with friends, family and her pit bulls. 

Karen Rodriguez was born in New York, grew up in New Jersey, and later moved to Wilmington, North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business. Since 2016, she has worked in business administration within the construction industry, bringing organization, efficiency, and a strong understanding of operations to her role. Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, relaxing at the beach, practicing Pilates, and exploring new restaurants whenever she gets the chance.

Denise comes to Coastal Building Supply from Long Island, NY. Prior to Coastal, she was the Director of Sales of a manufacturing company serving the construction industry. In her spare time she enjoys boating with her family and hanging out with her sidekick, the Pomeranian named Natasha. You will certainly know when you walk through the front door that she is not a local!

Steve brings a strong background in operations management and people leadership, backed by a reputation as a dedicated and dependable professional. Originally from New Jersey, Steve has built his career on hard work, accountability, and a commitment to helping teams perform at their best. Outside of work, Steve is a devoted family man. He is married and the proud father of two children—a son and a daughter—who keep life busy and rewarding. In his free time, Steve enjoys relaxing beach days with his family, making the most of time spent together and creating lasting memories.

A Havelock, NC native, Travis brings over 15 years of experience in the construction industry along with a unique background as a military civilian contractor in Afghanistan. This combination of global perspective and hands-on industry knowledge has shaped a results driven, detail oriented approach to every project. Beyond work, Travis values family life with his wife, son, and daughter. He also enjoys spending time in the kitchen and at the grill, where his passion for cooking and barbecue comes to life.

Kenneth “Pops” Peake grew up in Woburn, Massachusetts, where he developed a lifelong passion for woodworking and building with purpose. With over 43 years in the construction industry, he has experience in every aspect of the trade, from detailed fine craftsmanship to building complete homes, earning a reputation as a true craftsman who values quality and precision. Outside of work, Pops is a dedicated adventurer who has pedaled his bike across America, completed cycling trips throughout Europe, finished the Boston Marathon, conquered the Lake Placid Ironman, and summited all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4,000+ foot mountains. In his spare time, he enjoys beekeeping, embracing the patience and care it requires. Above all, he is a devoted family man, happily married to his high school sweetheart for over 40 years, the proud father of three children—two daughters and one son—and a grateful grandparent to six.

Nick is a valued member of our team known for his attention to detail and steady, practical approach to his work. He takes pride in doing things right and contributing to a job well done. Nick is from Charleston, West Virginia, and is married with a six-year-old daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and riding motorcycles, appreciating time spent both outdoors and on the road.

Nolan brings a strong craftsmanship background to Coastal Building Supply, having spent years working as a carpenter before joining our team. Originally from Hayward, Wisconsin, Nolan takes pride in delivering quality work and helping customers find the right solutions for their projects. Outside of work, he’s a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. When he’s not with family, you’ll likely find him practicing martial arts or relaxing at the beach.

Mike is a Raleigh native, skilled tradesman, and true jack of all trades with a passion for hard work and quality craftsmanship. With years of hands-on experience, Mike takes pride in solving problems and helping bring projects to life with dependable service and attention to detail. He’s a devoted husband and proud father to two daughters, and when he’s not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and rock crawling. His strong values, work ethic, and love for adventure are reflected in everything he does.

Jesse is a Goldsboro native with extensive warehouse and forklift experience, known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and hands-on approach to getting the job done right. With years of experience in fast-paced work environments, Jesse takes pride in being dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented in everything he does. He’s a proud father to two sons and enjoys spending his free time outdoors hunting and fishing whenever he gets the chance. His dedication to both his work and family reflects the values he brings every day.
